Digimon World Re:Digitize Manga Adaptation

About a few months ago, Bandai game developing department had announced the latest installment of Digimon World game, entitled as Digimon World Re:Digitize. Now, they are announcing the manga adaptation of the game?! Check it out!

Digimon World Re:Digitized is the latest installment for the Digimon World Game series, and will be released for the Playstation Portable (PSP) platform on 19th of July 2012. The characters are designed by manga artist and illustrator, Suzuhito Yasuda who had illustrated for light novels such as Durara!! & Kamisama Kazoku which were both adapted into anime series.

In Re:digitize the game play will center around a 14 year old male protagonist that gets transported to the digital world of Digimon, which in his universe is merely an online game. So far there are only four known characters: the Mikya, Nikolai Petrov, Akiho Rindo, and Yuya Kuga. Lili from Tekken series will appear as a guest character.

While news and scans of the game had been surfacing more and more when the days are counted, the most recent scans of July Issue V-Jump magazine had shown an announcement for the manga adaptation of the game. The manga will be published in the monthly issues of  V-jump magazine a month earlier before the game is released, which is June 2012. The manga will be illustrated by manga artist, Fujino Kouhei, who was the assistant artist for the Eyeshield 21 manga. Her other work is a manga entitled, "Sara Bred toyobanaide" (サラブレッドと呼ばないで).
