There was rumors lerking around the net for a while regarding the ever epic crossover of the first Metal Hero, Gavan and Gokaigers. Now here it is, the day where things are all confirmed! So, Metal Hero fans(especially the fans of the Space Sheriffs trilogy), rejoice for the return of Gavan in Gokaiger's movie!
The movie is set to be premiering this Winter(around November or December) 2012, featuring one of the famous old school hero, Uchuu Keiji Gavan(also known as Space Sheriff Gavan). It will be called, "Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger VS Gavan".
Kenji Ohba will reprise his roles as Retsu Ichijouji a.k.a Gavan. It is also rumored that he will played as his 3 famous tokusatsu characters namely, Gavan(as mentioned earlier), Battle Kenya and Denziblue. According to a pamphlet for the 199 sentai, Gavan is in fact a close friend to DekaMaster, which give them a good advantage to tie both of the franchise together for this movie.
It is also rumored that the 36th Super Sentai team, Tokumei Sentai
Gobuster will make a cameo. The only thing confirmed as of the moment is
the title and the registration of the official website for the movie.
Earlier this month, Kamen Rider producer, Shinichirô Shirakura (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Kamen Rider Decade) was asked by a fan on Twitter if there would be a Metal Hero 30th Anniversary movie in which he replied in English, "That's a good question." Giving us a clue that he might be involved in this movie. Will this signal the revival of this classic tokusatsu franchise?
