Ultraman Saga Movie slated for March 24,2012

In July, several tokufanbase blogs had posted the news regarding the upcoming Ultraman Saga Anniversary film! Now, more news, updates and infos had been compiled up in this very post!~ So, READ ON!

 Ultraman Saga movie is the upcoming Japanese film in the Ultra series to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the franchise. The movie serves as a sequel to Ultraman Zero Movie: Revenge of Belial. The film will feature, Ultraman Zero(as the protagonist), Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman Cosmos.

Other ultra heroes like Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Jack, Ultraman Leo and Ultraman Ace will make an appearance in this movie. They will face a new enemy threat, called Hyper Zetton. A new Ultraman will fight along sight the other Ultramen.

Now, it is earlier reported that the movie will be premiering in February 2011. But according to a recent news on AnimeNewsNetwork, Tsuburaya Productions announced on Wednesday that Ultraman Saga, the film commemorating the 45th anniversary of the live-action Ultraman franchise, will open on March 24, 2012. The film will play in both 2D and strereoscopic 3D in theaters throughout Japan. Along with the movie, there will be 2 special DVD releases that serves as prequel to the movie entitled: Ultraman Zero Gaiden: Killer the Beatstar.

As mentioned earlier, the main villain of the movie is Hyper Zetton, whose design is based  on one of the strongest monster that Ultraman fought, known as Zetton. He is sent by Alien Bat(a villain who appeared in he finale of The return of Ultraman/Ultraman Jack series).

There are rumors going about the new Ultraman being a powered up Ultraman Legend, or rather the combination of Ultraman Zero, Cosmos and Dyna. No further infos was available for this mysterious giant of light.
