Back in the previous post regarding Kamen Rider Eternal's V-cinema trailer, we know that Shotaro and Phillip will also appeared in the V-cinema. The V-cinema itself happens after Kamen Rider W series ended. And a special Guess star, who is the actress for Shiraishi Mako, real name Rin Takenashi, who will play a mysterious Woman name Mina. She somehow rebuke that Katsumi isn't the Devil he is back in AtoZ movie. According to the synopsis from Wiki, it is said that Katsumi won't be the devil that terrorize the whole Fuuto City if Shotaro hadn't met Phillip. Mina soon told the heroic past of Katsumi to our 2 in 1 detective/Kamen Rider.
In the V-cinema itself, they'll showed a younger Katsumi, who resembles Phillip(because it is played by the same actor). The movie itself will revealed an untold history of how Katsumi died, and how Maria was eagerly reviving him once more to see him alive once more. It didn't directly result him into a menacing devil. It was as if that he is still a good kid he was that give the music box to his mother. Katsumi himself was the first specimen for the special project to build undead super soldiers.
In the promo of the V-cinema, we saw a scene of the dying Hanehara Reika(a.k.a Heat Dopant). Izumi Kyosui(a.k.a Luna Dopant) saw the dead Reika and said that "she looks good", giving us the possibility that he once was straight. So far there's no back story revealed yet on how he recruited the rest of the members.
In the later part of the C-cinema arc, Foundation X no longer funded the undead super soldier experiment leaving the 5 specimen rogue and form a group called Never. Foundation X decide to fund another project which slowly revealed that there's another group of super soldiers with super psychic abilities called the ESP soldiers. And it seems that Mina was one of them, until an incident between her and Katsumi changes her whole perspective on Eternal's main purpose.

Introducing the rumored red form of Eternal, called Eternal Red Flare. It seems that Eternal Red Flare was the unstable version of Eternal, as he is without the black cape and the all 26 of the maximum slots that he had on as the Eternal in AtoZ. When Katsumi first discover and found both the Lost Driver and the prototype Eternal T2 memory, he will used it to fight another dopant, called the EYE DOPANT.
The secret identity of Eye Dopant is revealed to be a member of Foundation X who plotted to fight against NEVER and destroy the imperfect undead super soldiers. Katsumi who hadn't owned the Lost Driver nor the Eternal Memory felt powerless, and decide to infiltrate Foundation X to seek for a powerful weapon that could beat Eye Dopant. This is where he stumble upon a case that had the Lost Driver and the Prototype T2 Eternal memory in it. With it, he transformed into an unstable version of Kamen Rider Eternal, Eternal Red Flare.
As seen in the above scan, Eternal Red Flare could not draw out toe full potential of the Eternal memory thus making him lack all the Maximum drive slots and the black cape.
Eternal Red Flare is said to be 1/2 of Eternal Blue Flare's(the Eternal that we see in AtoZ) power. Katsumi will only be able to draw out the memory's full potential when his core that holds an incredible sadness which in the end make him fitted to be a "KAMEN RIDER".
Some fans originally depicted that Red Flare is actually the activation of T2 Accel memory used by Eternal which caused to have Red flames bursting from his arm. This proves to be false as we later find out that it was the unstable prototype form of Eternal. Aside from that, a number of fans also depicted that the blue flame pattern still retains it colored and the white portion of the body turns red when the rumor of the form was leaked among the Tokusastsu fan circle. Which again turns out to be false when actual scans had been leaking among the Tokusatsu fan community.
And recently, Bandai announced that they'll be releasing an Exclusive Rider Hero Series Figure, Kamen Rider Eternal Red Flare. The image below is the prototype figure with only his arm painted to show the red flame design on Eternal's arm.
