I have a feeling that most of us who are Tokusatsu fans share the same feeling when we heard the big news about Earthquake and Tsunami was merciless over Japan! An 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck Japan's northeastern coast around 0546 GMT on Friday. It caused a four-metre tsunami in the port city of Kamishi and its tremors shook buildings in the capital Tokyo, over 300 kilometres away. Now Taiwan has issued a tsunami warning.
Check out the video from Al Jazeera's official Youtube channel.
Not long after that, Japan was impacted with overkilling tidal waves! This is not Decade's fault(and I'm not joking!!!~~). Nor it's whatever tokusatsu epic legend war that we're seeing on the TV series! The 8.9 magnitude Earth quake(the biggest impact earthquake in history!) causing tsunami to wipe-out Japan's north-eastern coastline, and scores are feared killed. And again, a live footage was available over at Al Jazeera's Official Youtube Channel.
Due to the earthquake and the disasters that are happening in Japan, they are high chances that some popular Japanese mainstream entertainment(anime, J-pops, J-dramas, Tokusatsu and etc) that are popular through out the world will be pre-empted. So, there'll be no Kamen Rider OOO, no Gokaiger and no any animes that'll love for the moment, with all these happening. According to our faithful rumors and news reporter, DecaEnd: "The Broadcast is on Pause but the website will still continue be updated". I don't mind if I skipped the series, because the lives in Japan are much more important!
So, somehow as a fan to most of the stuff in Japan(and I personally have wanted to go to Japan), some of my friends and myself had contacted several online shops that we usually shopped from and try to see if they're OK. And so, here are the news from them.
- CStoys- Mr.S and the gang are OK. They are safe and sound. But warning had been alerted via TV broadcast and other mass medias that quakes may hit Ehime Prefecture. Let's hope it won't.
- Hobby Link Japan- They had tweeted they're updates over Twitter and they said that they're fine too, stuff were OK, but the store was damage. So, need a lot of cleaning to do.
- CD Japan- According to Otoya who contacted them, they're fine as well, nothing really bad happen to them, the site is still running and working fit as a fiddle.
- Yokatta Web- Well, Yokatta is yokatta~(Fine! XD)
- Okinawan Middleman Service- His out of the red zone, so he is totally safe!
- Hobby Search- HS staff are okay, but operations will be delayed.
- J-list- They are doing fine here in Gunma. Their total damage was...one broken plate.
Let's hope and pray that they're OK.
And for Toy shoppers, there'll be a big impact on the Yen Currency. According to Forex, they're quite stable at the moment after the knee-jerking moment of the quakes. But there'll be chances that there'll be a dropped on the exchange rate between international currencies.
Anyway, I dunno how many times have I repeat this, but let's hope and pray that Japan will be OK!
