Earlier on, I was alerted with prototype images of the Model kit. I had no idea about the upgrade Model for Beginning Gundam since I had no chances of following up the series. It attracts me, and so I decided to post about this model kit.
The above image is the prototype model kit design based on the anime's Model Suit, Beginning 30 Gundam. As I saw this, I had an Immediate geeky crush on this model kit.
Just before I start talking about the model kit details, let's have some back story of the actual Gundam itself.
From the series of Model Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G, came GPB-X80-30 Beginning 30 Gundam, which is an upgrade to the GPB-X80 Beginning Gundam. The Begining 30 Gundam is a reworked version of the original Begining Gundam, now outfitted with extra armor and vernier boosters for increased performance and defense. The armor also enhances the overall capabilities of the mobile suit and can generate a versatile I-Field Barrier that both protects the mobile suit from incoming attacks and allows it to make powerful attacks of its own. While this armour is equipped, the beam v-fin projected on the Beginning Gundam's forehead is notably larger. The Beginning 30 Gundam is armed with fifteen beam sabers for close combat. Six of these are stored in the backpack, six in its side skirt, and three more in its shield used for emergencies. Three of its beam sabers can be held in each hand in a claw-like fashion, totaling three sabers in each hand. The Beginning 30 Gundam is also equipped with the standard Gundam weapons of a beam rifle and shield.
Now back to our main topic,
After seeing the image shot for the prototype of the model kit, I went scans and image hunting for the completed prototype of the model kit, and YES! I found it. Check out the images below.
As you can see, the Model kit had some of its parts made-up with neat translucent plastic, to give it a really nice touch for detail-wise. For me, this will be in my shopping list. This model kit will be release in January of 2011. It will cost 2,200yen(tax included).
